Storage
- Store the tin somewhere cool and dry, ideally between 15 and 18°C.
- Keep away from strong smells such as coffee, spices and cheese, which chocolate absorbs easily.
- Avoid the fridge, as the damp can cause a pale bloom on the chocolate surface.
- Replace the lid after opening to stop the peel drying out.
- Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators.
Serving
- Serve at room temperature so the chocolate softens slightly and the orange oils come through.
- Arrange a few per person on a small plate with coffee at the end of a meal.
- Two or three orangettes make a satisfying portion alongside an espresso.
- Try them with a small glass of Sauternes, where the candied fruit notes in the wine echo the orange peel.
- Bring the tin to the table after a Christmas or dinner party pudding for guests to help themselves.

Questions
Dark Chocolate Orangettes 150g: your questions answered
Anything else you would like to know? Our team is always happy to help.
What are orangettes?
Orangettes are strips of candied orange peel dipped in dark chocolate, a classic French confection. These are made by Iain Burnett with real peel and 72% single origin São Tomé chocolate.
Are these chocolate orangettes dairy free?
Milk is not listed in the ingredients, but they may contain traces of milk, nuts and sulphur dioxide, so they are not suitable for anyone with a milk allergy.
Should I keep chocolate in the fridge?
It is better not to. A cool, dry cupboard away from strong smells keeps the chocolate glossy, while the fridge can cause bloom and dull the flavour.
Do the orangettes make a good gift?
Yes. They come in a 150g decorative tin, so they are ready to give as they are, and they are a popular choice at Christmas and as a thank you.
