Buying guide
The right drink makes caviar and foie gras taste better, and the wrong one can flatten them. That is why this collection is short and specific: Champagne and vodka for caviar, and Sauternes for foie gras. Several of these bottles also appear in our gift sets, matched with the food they suit. You must be 18 or over to buy alcohol. Pol Roger Brut Réserve, Churchill's favourite, blends equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and comes as a 75cl bottle or a 37.5cl half bottle, ideal with a small tin of caviar. Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013 is full, energetic and expressive, and a magnificent partner for Beluga. Our House Champagne Brut, aged three years and poured as the house Champagne in some of London's top restaurants, is excellent value at £29.50. Many people prefer ice-cold vodka to Champagne with caviar. Beluga Noble is a smooth winter wheat vodka designed to be drunk with caviar. Black Lion is a rare Cotswold vodka distilled from sheep's milk whey. Sapling is quadruple distilled in London from British wheat and tastes clean and creamy, and Nemiroff De Luxe is a crisp Ukrainian vodka at £23. For foie gras, Madame de Rayne Sauternes 2020 is also lovely with puddings and blue cheese. Serve Champagne at 7 to 9°C in tulip glasses or flutes, and Sauternes well chilled in a small white wine glass. Vodka for caviar goes straight from the freezer into small chilled glasses. Store Champagne and wine lying down somewhere cool and dark, and keep spirits upright. Our Champagnes are ready to drink when they arrive, and the Sauternes is best within two to three years.
Both are classic. Champagne refreshes the palate with acidity and bubbles, while ice-cold vodka is cleaner and more neutral, so it is a matter of preference.
A dry, elegant Champagne works best. Pol Roger Brut Réserve is our everyday favourite, and Dom Pérignon 2013 is a magnificent partner for Beluga.
Yes. It is illegal to sell alcohol to anyone under 18 in the UK, and all our wines and spirits are for adults only.
Store bottles lying down in a cool, dark place with a steady temperature, away from vibration. Chill to 7 to 9°C before serving.
Black Lion vodka is triple distilled in the Cotswolds from the sugar-rich whey left over from making cheese with sheep's milk. It is crisp and full bodied with an exceptionally smooth finish.
