The black gift box closes with a magnetic seal, so the caviar can be taken out and refrigerated on arrival and the gift put back together later.

Storage
- Take both tins out of the cool bag and gift box on arrival and refrigerate them in the coldest part of the fridge, at 0 to 4°C.
- Leave the tins sealed until you plan to serve, and eat each one within 48 hours of opening.
- Do not freeze either caviar.
- Stand the vodka upright and move it to the freezer a few hours before serving; at 40% it will not freeze solid.
- Wash the mother of pearl spoons by hand in warm water, never in the dishwasher, and dry them straight away.
Serving
- Remove the tins from the fridge about ten minutes before serving and rest them on crushed ice.
- Ease each lid off with the sturgeon caviar key, working round the rim so the eggs are not disturbed.
- Taste the Oscietra and the Siberian side by side, using a separate mother of pearl spoon for each.
- Pour the Nemiroff ice cold into small chilled glasses; its apple, lemon peel and mint notes refresh the palate between spoonfuls.
- Blinis and crème fraîche make a good base for canapés, though both caviars are best tried first on their own.
Ingredients and allergens
Caviar: sturgeon roe (fish), salt, E285 (borax). Borax is a traditional caviar salt that helps preservation and rounds out the flavour. Contains fish. Vodka: contains alcohol. Not for sale to anyone under 18.

Delivery and returns
We aim to process and dispatch the majority of your caviar orders same-day when placed before 3PM Monday to Thursday, and 92% of them will be delivered on the next working day.
Orders after 3PM on Thursday will likely be dispatched the following working day (usually Monday) so if you need your order urgently please do get in touch with us. We pack all orders with multiple ice packs to ensure they arrive fresh and chilled so don't worry if it takes an extra day to arrive.
Same-day delivery is available in some London areas.
Our caviar lasts for 3-6 months, but once opened should be consumed within 3-4 days.

The majority of our orders are delivered via Royal Mail's Tracked 24 service (up to the value of £250), with the rest going via DHL Domestic Express or Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Is the tin size for each caviar or the total?
The size is for each tin. Choosing 2 x 125g gives you 125g of Oscietra and 125g of Siberian, 250g of caviar in all.
What is the difference between Oscietra and Siberian caviar?
Oscietra comes from Acipenser gueldenstaedtii and has a nutty, rich flavour with golden brown tones. Siberian comes from Acipenser baerii, with darker grey to black eggs and a clean, briny taste. Both are from the same outdoor farm in northern Italy.
What is a caviar key used for?
It is a small flat tool for prising the lid off a caviar tin cleanly, without bending the tin or spilling any eggs.
Why is caviar served with vodka?
Ice-cold vodka cleanses the palate, so each spoonful of caviar tastes as fresh as the first. Nemiroff De Luxe is crisp and clean, so it does not compete with the eggs.
